OB/GYN Training Program, PAACS Preparation,  ($30,000)

Africa in general and Mali in particular faces a shortage of trained surgeons. The Pan African Association of Christian Surgeons seeks to set up training programs at Christian Hospitals that will provide a USA medical degree in 5 years of training and study.

Currently there is no OB/GYN program in the PAACS program but we are being encouraged to develop such a program. We believe the Koutiala Hospital for Women and Children will be well situated to be such a training facility in the coming years, as we see God moving the requisite staff into place and growing our surgical and obstetrical services.

This program will require purchase of land for housing of the training staff and residents and the construction of housing for them. This is just the first part of the expenses for this program but we feel that as God provides the qualified Doctors to direct the program and the wisdom to set up the program He will also allow us to build the necessary infrastructure that we will need.
